Wood-Mode, Inc. was founded in 1942 in Kreamer, Pa.

During their early years they produced selected items for the United States government and Military, but after World War II they focused on developing and selling wood kitchen cabinetry for the growing American economy.

Wood-Mode's office and manufacturing complex of 1.3 million square feet employs more than 1,000 people, many of them are second and third generation employees. Kreamer is a very small community surrounded by farmland, open fields and home to one of the largest providers of jobs for the locals. The company continues a proud heritage of building the best cabinetry possible by combining the superior skills of these experienced craftspeople with the finest materials and most advanced technology.

Evelyn has been designing custom kitchens and bathrooms for 20 years. She is currently working out of the Roanoke, VA showroom.

Both Wood-Mode and Brookhaven feature solid wood doors and multi-step finishing processes, and both are available in traditional framed construction — where the door is mounted on a front frame — and contemporary frameless construction — where there is no face frame so the door is mounted on the cabinet case itself.
