The Burden Boat is a project that we were honored to work on in conjunction with the sculptor and Carilion.
This piece is in the lobby at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, now at the Glass Grand Staircase in the Atrium going to the South Elevators.
Ideal did Not make the boat, a very talented sculptor did that. (see his information in the photos) But we did make the sign bases [ compliments to Earl Spitzer ] and we did make the tilting trestles with over 300 pieces of laminate on them [ compliments to Kevin Swallow ] It was very challenging, but this is one of the many reasons we like what we do. We are very proud to have worked with Carilion and the sculptor on this project. We hope that you enjoy it as much as have.
