Meet Adriana Stevers, a Designer and Salesperson in our Christiansburg showroom. Adriana joined the Ideal family in 2020 and her talent and passion for design have been a wonderful asset to our team! When you meet Adriana you cannot help but notice the beautiful light that shines so brightly from her and her infectious smile will immediately win you over.
Adriana has been in cabinet design since 2017 and in sales since 2013. Her love for design spans back as far as she can remember. She started working towards her career in high school. She spent her time completing a drafting program, learning the many aspects of design in a wide array of software; she also learned hand drafting, mechanical drafting, AutoCAD, Revit, and Google Sketchup to name a few. After high school she furthered her knowledge and experience by attending NRCC for two years before transferring to Radford University where she graduated with a B.S. in Interior Design in 2013.
After marrying her high school sweetheart in the summer of 2013, she started a new job in Blacksburg with a local cabinet design company which introduced her to the wonderful world of cabinetry design, and she immediately fell in love with it. She knew she found her niche in being able to work one on one with clients to create spaces that are beautiful and functional. She found great reward in seeing her projects come together from start to finish. Aside from designing, her favorite part of her job is getting to know each client personally and building lasting relationships with them.
Adriana and her husband, Joey, have been blessed with three children – Emmalyn, Preston, and Boden who keep their life fast paced and wide open in the best way possible. Emmalyn, with her beautifully kind heart, wears the “big sister” title perfectly and being the only girl, likes all things girly. Preston who is all boy through and through, is independent and smart, constantly keeping his mama on her toes! Their youngest, Boden, is very curious about everything and leaves his family amazed with all he is learning. Adriana loves to talk about the blessing they are to her.
While Adriana and her family find Giles County peaceful with its beautiful mountains and changing seasons, they love visiting Anna Maria Island, FL, or going on “holiday to their holiday house” as their children call it, quoting the one and only Peppa Pig. They have found such solace and beauty in Anna Maria this “holiday” is now a Stevers family annual tradition. Most of their time at home is spent outdoors or treasure hunting at thrift stores. On the occasion Adriana and Joey get a date, they enjoy going to Christian concerts and Phil Wickham has been a favorite!
With the love of design running deep through her soul, Adriana is always rearranging or reimagining things whether at work or at home! She and her husband recently sold their first home and had so much fun renovating it together during the eight years they lived there, that they decided to build their forever home from the ground up. It has been an exciting journey to see each step come together, and know they will raise their children in this new home they have created together.
We asked Adriana what she likes most about being a designer at Ideal Cabinets. Without hesitation she answered her favorite things are “the family atmosphere that runs through Ideal, and the company values”. She recounts her first interview with the company, conducted by our beloved founder Ken Rakes. She said Ken closed their meeting in prayer, and specifically asked for guidance in his decision as well as hers. It was at that moment she realized this company was different, and extremely special. She goes on to say “Ideal Cabinets has been such a blessing. I am thankful to be part of the team, and surrounded by so many great people and designers!”
