Meet Andy Wert of Ideal Cabinets

“He has really completed our team,” says Christiansburg’s store manager, Dean Saltus, when Andy’s name is mentioned. “Both his skill and his personality are a great fit.” That is the consensus among all of Andy Wert’s co-workers at the Christiansburg location of Ideal Cabinets.

A hometown boy, Andy grew up in the NRV and attended Christiansburg High School. Post graduation he attended college locally before eventually moving to Wake Forest, NC. After two decades in NC working for the City of Durham, Andy returned home to Virginia.

His family live locally and they enjoy the opportunity to spend time together, especially at their cabin at Claytor Lake. Fishing and hunting are favorite pastimes that Andy enjoys. He also has a woodworking shop in his home where he tinkers with furniture and projects in his spare time. We’ve all been impressed with his Maine Coon cat, Garfield.

Andy thanks his dad and grandfather for teaching him about woodworking and discovering a love for this craft. His favorite tasks at Ideal Cabinets include repairing broken cabinetry items and refinishing projects. We thank Andy for finding his way to Ideal Cabinets to share his talents and skills with us. In addition to his talent, he has made a deep impression on all of us with his polite, patient, and kind demeanor.
