Originally from Chesapeake, VA, Emma is a Blacksburg transplant by way of Virginia Tech (VT). She attended VT with her sisters (one who is older, and the other is her twin!). She graduated from the Residential Environments and Design program (often referred to as RED) at VT which is an NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) accredited program. This degree specifically focused on kitchen and bathroom design. While studying for this degree, she discovered a passion for space planning, functionality and design. Wanting to stay in the area post- graduation, she worked at a local flooring store before joining the Ideal team.
When clients visit the Ideal Cabinets showroom in downtown Christiansburg, you’ll most likely be greeted by Emma who will provide you with an introduction to the Ideal Cabinets process and customer service experience. Emma enjoys getting to know customers and their projects. She also enjoys helping with designs and selections. She says she loves watching the entire process come together from start to finish.
Emma is our resident foodie. She is always on the hunt for a tasty sandwich, sweet treat, or a new recipe to try! She provides many memorable and creative scrumptious additions to our store parties and events. Her creativity and sweet spirit are a welcome addition to Ideal family. Her co-workers certainly seem to think so.
Virginia Rakes, one of the founders of Ideal Cabinets, shares that it is pleasure to work with Emma. Along with her quick wit, she is capable, willing to accept challenges, and an innovative thinker. The store manager, Dean Saltus, adds that she is kind to our customers, well-spoken, and dedicated to her work. Overall, the staff says that she is ready, willing, and able to give a helping a hand, and always gets the job done.
